About Me
Author, Mediator, Inspirational Speaker, and Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Candice Lynn Warner’s life’s work is to restore safety and connection in relationships, through addressing traumas deeply rooted within our inner child.
She helps people navigate through broken relationships, trust and triggering blockages. In doing so, they are able to rebuild their lives by seeking out safety and connection. She draws on her superpowers as an Trained Mediator through FAMAC, to aid parents in building meaningful relationships with their chiIdren. Warner also loves to teach, as she serves as a Higher Education Lecturer in Social work and Psychology.
Warner takes on various platforms to discuss pertinent and deep issues of the heart and mind. From TV screens, radio stations, to podcasts and public talks, Candice creates and holds space, where the holistic well-being of family and children is central. Warner’s references can be found in research publications, but perhaps the most valuable of all- her first self help book due for publishing end of 2023.

She is strongly focused on strengthening the functioning and quality of life of individuals, families, groups, and communities at large working with children and families toward restoring their sense of safety and human connection, so that families can lead meaningful and satisfying lives. Candice considers herself a lifelong learner, holding a BSc (Hons) Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Philosophy (major in Children’s Rights Law and Family Law) from the University of the Western Cape.
She fulfils the role of a Lecturer at the South African College of Applied Psychology, teaching Social Work and Psychology students. Candice is the founder of Centre for Care and Contact, a therapy centre opened in 2016, aimed at providing various therapeutic and counselling support services to children and families. Through her private practice work, she has been afforded various platforms and spaces to share about trauma, safety and connection.
